Since he was a child he was obsessed with the coming Apocalypse.

His mother would often tell him in excited tones about the End Times and how judgement day was coming very soon.

It didn’t.

But it still excited him. He played out a fantasy of survival, and longed for a world devoid of people, a world of peace and beauty, an idyll.

And then it came, just like she said.
And now he considered himself alone at last… But someone was just outside, standing at the door, knocking, waiting…
A fully interactive theatrical experience brought to you by Exiled Theatre.
A secret location for this performance is to be announced soon.
PLEASE NOTE: This event has changed venue from that advertised in the SITELINES brochure. Apologies for any inconvenience.

The English War of Independence - Wordle!

I love Wordle.
It takes all the most common word in a text and arranges them in a diagram, the most common being the largest.
What can you tell about this novel?
Who are the protagonists?
Why have I use "Back" and "Like" so much?
There's a rude word that is a little bit too big too... hmmmmmm.

Try it yourself by clicking here...

On Hold - The Script

Below is the full script of "On Hold". This was a short piece written for "Off the Block" the Writer's Relay in Reading April 2012 for Reading Between the Lines theatre company.

I was given the starting point of being put on hold and had 4 hours to produce a scene.

This is available to read, download and perform. I would appreciate a message from anyone who downloads or performs it. On Hold

Off the Block - On Hold

More great photographs from Ian Legge, this time from my award winning short "On Hold". This was performed at the the start of the Writer's Relay in April.

Off the Block - The Stranger

The short play The Stranger was written on Wednesday 25th April 2012 and performed the next day at South Street Arts Centre as part of Reading Between the Lines launch event "Off the Block". Off the Block was a writer's relay, the first I have ever taken part in. It was invigorating and exciting. Photo & Video Sharing by SmugMug Photo & Video Sharing by SmugMug Great pictures from my play "The Stranger". Thanks to Ian Legge for these.
